FAQ - NexusLaunch Docs
One Launcher. Infinite Worlds.
System Requirements & Supported OS
Verify hardware compatibility and OS support before deploying NexusLaunch v4.2.1 across your setup.
What are the minimum system requirements?
NexusLaunch requires a 64-bit architecture, Intel Core i5-8400 / AMD Ryzen 5 2600 or newer, 8GB RAM, DirectX 12 compatible GPU with 4GB VRAM, and 15GB of free SSD storage. Windows 10 (21H2+) or Windows 11 (22H2+) are mandatory. macOS support is currently limited to Apple Silicon (M1/M2/M3) running macOS 14 Sonoma or later.
Does NexusLaunch support Linux or SteamOS?
Native Linux builds are not available at this time. However, NexusLaunch runs flawlessly under Proton-GE 8.25 on Steam Deck and Arch-based distributions. Valve's Proton compatibility layer handles the .NET 8 runtime dependencies automatically during first launch.
Can I run NexusLaunch on a Chromebook?
Yes, if your device supports Linux (Beta) or Android via the Play Store. The Android APK requires ARM64 architecture and 6GB RAM. Performance varies based on the underlying chipset; we recommend Snapdragon 7c or better for smooth background verification.
Data Privacy & Account Security
How we handle your telemetry, save files, and authentication tokens.
What data does NexusLaunch collect?
We collect only crash dumps, hardware telemetry (GPU driver version, RAM allocation), and anonymous session duration metrics. All data is hashed and stored on AWS Frankfurt (eu-central-1) servers. We never sell player activity to third-party advertisers or game publishers.
How are my game saves encrypted?
Local save files are encrypted using AES-256-GCM with keys derived from your NexusAuth OAuth2 token. Cloud sync via NexusDrive uses TLS 1.3 in transit. You can export unencrypted backups anytime via Settings > Data Management > Export Save Bundle.
Can I delete my account and all associated data?
Absolutely. Navigate to Account > Privacy > Request Full Deletion. All personal identifiers, telemetry logs, and cloud saves are purged within 30 days per GDPR and CCPA compliance standards. Active subscription refunds are prorated based on remaining days.
Launcher Performance & Troubleshooting
Quick fixes for common launch errors and background processes.
Why does NexusLaunch freeze on the "Verifying Files" screen?
This usually indicates a mismatch between your local manifest and our CDN checksums. Run the "Force Rescan" tool in Settings > Storage, or clear the %AppData%\NexusLaunch\cache folder. Ensure your antivirus isn't quarantining NexusVerify.exe.
How do I disable background auto-updates?
Go to Settings > Updates and toggle "Download in Background" to Off. You can schedule updates between 2:00 AM and 5:00 AM local time to prevent bandwidth throttling during peak gaming hours. Manual updates still require a full launcher restart.
